Become an Umpire or Official

The City of Walker's Parks and Recreation Department is looking for soccer officials and softball umpires - join our team!

Soccer officials:

Soccer officials are responsible for enforcing the rules of Recreation Soccer,  time keeping,  enforcing safety rules and fair play. Must be 13 years of age or older. Applicants must have soccer experience and interact well with children and adult coaches. Field and class training are required and provided by the Rec Dept.   Must be able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner while communicating effectively and courteously.  Background check required.  To apply for this position, please fill out and return this officials application form (PDF) to Michelle May 

Adult Softball Umpires

Umpires must have softball knowledge, must be able to properly enforce and know all rules of the game and be physically fit and able to umpire games. Must be able to handle stressful and emergency situations in a professional and calm manner while communicating effectively and courteously. ASA/USA certified preferred but not required.
