HAWK Mite Jamboree

Our HAWK Mites recently participated at their first Jamboree of the season on Oct 22. 10 teams from various West Michigan hockey associations participated, including: Fox; Rams; and Big Rapids.

Jamborees are an important part of our Cross Ice and Mite aged groups as it replicates what preparing for a full ice hockey game will look like.  The players are expected to arrive 30 minutes before a game, dress in the same locker room (so they can prepare and receive instructions from the coaches) and they get to play against teams from other associations.  At HAWK, we practice the right way by running small area games and station-based practices. But, there is something special about playing against other teams with your family cheering you on in the stands!
