Passport Information
Due to changes in the federal guidelines by the U.S. Department of State, the City of Walker's passport acceptance hours are now Monday - Thursday from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm. You are required to make an appointment. Please call the Walker City Clerk's office at (616) 791-6865 to schedule your appointment.
The City of Walker is an acceptance facility for US Passports. You do not need to be a resident of Walker to take advantage of our passport services.
However, the U.S. Department of State is experiencing processing delays due to pandemic backlog and staffing issues as well as mail delays.
- Routine service time may take 8 to 11 weeks (2-3 months) not including mailing
- Expedited Service (additional fee) may take 5 to 7 weeks (1-2 months) not including mailing
Visit www.travel.state.gov for more information, including directions on emergency passport processing (appointments are very limited).
Please note that passport services are temporarily on hold until after the November election.
The Clerk's Office will accept passport applications by appointment only at Walker City Hall, located at 4243 Remembrance Rd NW. Applications must be fully completed prior to your appointment.
Hours are Monday - Thursday from 7:30 am - 2:00 pm
Please note we do not accept passport applications on Election days (the Tuesday following the first Monday in May, August, and November).
We do not accept passport applications in the week prior to August even-year elections or in the two weeks prior to November even-year elections.
